Rinuncia, Decadenza, Sospensione e Riattivazione
Rinuncia agli studi
Lo studente che non intende continuare gli studi ha la facoltà di rinunciare all'iscrizione. La rinuncia è irrevocabile e lo studente non potrà far rivivere la carriera scolastica precedentemente svolta. Lo studente rinunciatario non è tenuto al pagamento delle tasse e dei contributi universitari di cui fosse eventualmente in debito.
Lo studente che intende porre termine alla propria carriera universitaria prima del conseguimento del titolo finale deve produrre apposita istanza di rinuncia agli studi presso la Segreteria Studenti della Struttura Didattica competente. Sulla predetta istanza dovrà essere apposta una marca da bollo dell'importo di 16,00 euro.
La rinuncia determina la perdita dello status di studente ed estingue la carriera, fatti salvi i crediti acquisiti.
Decadenza dallo status di studente
Decade dallo status di studente universitario dell'Università degli studi della Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli" colui che, a partire dalla data dell'ultimo esame sostenuto, non ne sostiene altri per otto anni accademici consecutivi.
Sospensione e Riattivazione
Con istanza, debitamente documentata da presentarsi entro i termini previsti per l’iscrizione, lo studente può chiedere al Dipartimento ove è iscritto la sospensione della propria carriera universitaria - per una durata massima pari alla durata normale del corso di studi - per motivi di studio, di natura personale, familiare o di salute.
La riattivazione della carriera avverrà ad istanza documentata dell’interessato. Eventuali CFU acquisiti in vigenza della sospensione saranno valutati dalla Struttura didattica di riferimento, sentito il Consiglio di Corso di studio, ai fini del riconoscimento nella carriera precedentemente sospesa.

Withdrawal from studies
A student who does not intend to continue their studies may choose to formally renounce their enrollment. This renunciation is irrevocable and the student cannot reactivate their previously completed academic record. A student who renounces their studies is not required to pay any outstanding university fees or contributions.
A student wishing to terminate their university studies before obtaining the final degree must submit a formal application for renunciation to the Student Registrar's Office of the relevant academic unit. A revenue stamp worth €16.00 must be affixed to the application.
Renunciation results in the loss of student status and the termination of the academic record, although any credits already earned remain valid.
Loss of student status
A student of the University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli" loses their student status if, following the date of their last exam, they do not take any further exams for eight consecutive academic years.
Suspension and Reactivation
By submitting a duly documented request within the enrollment deadline, a student may ask the Department where they are enrolled to suspend their university studies - for a maximum period equal to the standard duration of the degree program - for reasons related to study, personal circumstances, family matters, or health.
Reactivation of the student's academic record shall take place upon the submission of a documented request by the student. Any academic credits (CFU) earned during the suspension period will be evaluated by the relevant academic unit, in consultation with the Degree Programme Board, to determine their recognition within the previously suspended academic record.
